My 15-year-old daughter spent her second Easter holiday at the camp in Wellington at Wrekin College. After her first experience last year, she knew immediately that she absolutely had to go back, and this time for two weeks. Her enthusiasm speaks for itself. Günther and Sonia, along with their fantastic team, once again lovingly cared for the children and made the two weeks an unforgettable experience. The organization is superb, and in addition to engaging English lessons and sports activities, there were also some amazing excursions. This year, the kids visited London, Birmingham, Wales, and Liverpool, among other places. They hiked with alpacas and rode a vintage steam train. Because there's a full program of activities throughout the day and English-speaking staff, English is the language of the camp all day long. Many new friendships were formed, and there were plenty of tears at the end. In short: I can wholeheartedly recommend this camp, and my daughter would love to go back to England right now.

Even the minor hiccup at passport control was resolved thanks to Günther's phone number being left at the airport. That was very reassuring for us parents, and our son was never worried. He was greeted very warmly at the terminal. The language was learned in a fun way, a fantastic leisure program was offered, and the food was just what our son wanted! I spent two weeks at Wrekin College in England and I really enjoyed my time there. I had already been there last year, but the program was still different and exciting, so it never felt boring. The team leaders were very friendly and always helpful. The English lessons were fun and helped me become more confident when speaking. I also liked the activities a lot. There was always something to do, and if you didn't want to join something like sports, you could choose another activity. The trips were very interesting and well organized. I also really liked the accommodation and felt comfortable there. Overall, I had a great time and would definitely recommend it.

Both of them definitely want to go again. You kept them busy from morning to night with an exciting program that not only prevented boredom but also challenged them intensively. It has been a fantastic experience in a great camp with extraordinarily nice people. Gunther, Sonja, Marc and Dunia are great hosts, generated an outstanding lovely atmosphere and taught us a lot!

Our daughter was skeptical at first, but was completely thrilled by the end 😁 Günther, Sonja and the entire team were very caring from the start, extremely cheerful and funny and put together a fantastic program. The lessons were “even fun” 😜😁, the afternoon programs and excursions (basketball, swimming, cricket, theme evenings, crafts, cooking, parties, London, Oxford, even the museum visit was mentioned extremely positively) were very varied and completely suited the teenagers’ tastes, respect! The interaction was so nice and harmonious and the days were so full that not even the mobile was missed (sensational: digital detox, mobile only for 1 hour in the early evening 😄👍). Our daughter didn’t want to go home, BIG praise and a huge thank you to everyone 🙏🤗!!!

Günther occasionally provided us parents at home with photos of the excursions and activities at the college. The lessons weren't really about teaching grammar, but that had been announced in advance. There was obviously a lot of discussion about that. The concept of having English students participate is a great idea! When our son called home, he occasionally slipped in English words, which we were really happy about. This shows that he was quite immersed in the language. In any case, he gained a lot of "linguistic confidence." The limited cell phone time didn't pose any problems for us. This plan worked perfectly. I had the impression that the camaraderie among the children was good, and this was fostered by the digital abstinence. There was apparently plenty of food. No complaints from us here either. We would like to thank you again for giving our son a special time. Thank you to the entire team!

Everything went smoothly, from the pick-up at the airport to checking in for the flight home. The week was well organized. Günther and his team supervised the camp excellently. It was especially great that they had several English students with them. We would send our daughter to Günther's camp again anytime.

Our older children (13 and 15) spent two weeks alone at a language camp in England this summer with Camps for Friends and absolutely loved it. They had great, practical lessons and spoke a lot of English (the counselors and teachers were all native speakers, and apart from the camp director, they didn't speak any German). As parents, we were very pleased with the uncomplicated registration process and the way all our questions were answered. Everything was thought of, and we felt good the whole time about sending our children off on their own by plane for the first time. Günther and his team were super professional, quick to respond, and extremely responsive to the children's individual needs. The approach of involving local children and young people in the program was extremely successful. This enabled her to practice the language in authentic conversational situations while gaining valuable insights into English culture and lifestyle. I also particularly enjoyed the interactive games (City Rally), in which the young people had to solve quizzes and engage in conversation with locals in the city. These didactically clever elements promoted language learning in a playful and practical way and helped my daughter noticeably improve her English. She not only expanded her language skills but also developed a profound understanding of England's history, modern life, and the remarkable friendliness of the English people. This language trip was a valuable opportunity for my daughter to develop both linguistically and personally. I am extremely grateful that she was given this opportunity and can highly recommend the Wrekin College program.
