English camp at Ortenberg Castle
Ortenberg Castle provides a truly special setting for a diverse week of camp in the heart of the Black Forest. Around the historic castle, geocaching tours, scavenger hunts, and exciting excursions await the kids – and English is an integral part of the experience from the very beginning. A particular highlight is the rally through Strasbourg , where the kids explore the city together, solve tasks in English, and put the language into practice. Our international team accompanies the children throughout the entire camp day, speaking English and ensuring that English is spoken at all times.

At the Ortenberg Castle English Language Camp, children and teenagers immerse themselves in the English language all day long – playfully, in a practical way, and with plenty of opportunity to speak confidently . A short individual assessment at the beginning ensures that each child receives precisely the support they need and can work on their personal strengths. And even after class, the language continues to be spoken in English – as it accompanies the kids throughout the entire camp day.

In class, the older children help the younger ones. The younger children repeat a lot, which gives them a very good feel for the language. During leisure activities, we've even found that communicating in English is often easier for the younger children than for the older ones. They're much less afraid of making mistakes, communicate with their hands and feet, and just start talking. And that's exactly the idea behind our camps.
