Our son (15 years old) attended the fall camp in Haltern am See. When we signed him up, he was a bit skeptical. But after a few days, he was absolutely thrilled. He enjoyed the leisure activities and the learning sessions. He found the counselors incredibly friendly, even though communication was only in English. He would love to participate again.

After our children had a fantastic time at camp in Haltern am See last year, our 14-year-old son went to Wellington in England for two weeks this summer. The children were met at Heathrow Airport by camp director Günther and his team, and from there they took a bus to Wellington. The accommodation, a boarding school, was very comfortable and high-quality, with three hot meals provided, which our son particularly liked 😂 , plenty of sports opportunities, from tennis and basketball to all British sports, and a never-ending program. There were numerous excursions, for example to London and Birmingham, and attractions such as go-karting, casino evenings, and much, much more. We thought it was particularly great that local young people also came along to support the camp and took part in all the activities and lessons. At the end, all the children were accompanied back to the airport and said goodbye to there. We would like to say a huge thank you to Günther, Sonia, the many helpers, and the local students for the fantastic time! You made the camp an unforgettable experience!

Our son returned from camp absolutely thrilled. He had a fantastic week, full of fun and adventure. He made new friends, and his teacher was "the best teacher he's ever had!" The camp is truly enriching, not least because of the top-notch coaches. Highly recommended! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Amazing working environment with a great office team. We receive extensive leadership training so we're properly prepared for what lies ahead. The kids are definitely in excellent, well trained, capable and loving hands!!!

My grandson (10) attended an English camp at the sports school in Oberhaching at Easter. He was absolutely thrilled; but what makes me happiest is that he's found English fun. For example, English actually had to be spoken during soccer matches, too. Now the referee is suddenly the "ref"... I'm a retired teacher myself and spend a lot of time working with educational concepts. It's so nice to see that it can also be done in a fun way!

Super nice camp, with good lessons and a wide range of sports, great food, can be recommended

Our older children (13 and 15) spent two weeks alone at a language camp in England this summer with Camps for Friends and absolutely loved it. They had great, practical lessons and spoke a lot of English (the counselors and teachers were all native speakers, and apart from the camp director, they didn't speak any German). As parents, we were very pleased with the uncomplicated registration process and the way all our questions were answered. Everything was thought of, and we felt good the whole time about sending our children off on their own by plane for the first time. Günther and his team were super professional, quick to respond, and extremely responsive to the children's individual needs. We highly recommend the stay in the UK with Camps for Friends, and our younger siblings can hardly wait to go there too.

Our daughter really enjoyed her Easter 2024 camp at Camps for Friends in Haltern am See. She was able to improve her English by speaking every day. Many great activities were organized, such as a trip to the indoor swimming pool and the climbing forest. She would like to return to the camp for another week during the summer break.

Our daughters (11 and 13) just returned from camp. The team took great care of the kids, taught them lots of English, had even more fun, and were full of activities. The girls were very pleased with the accommodations and meals. They definitely want to go back next year.

Our 11-year-old daughter enjoyed the camp. We picked up an enthusiastic girl. It's definitely a great way to introduce children to English in a positive way. I also thought it was great that some of the counselors only spoke English. This helped the children get to know the language better. The accommodations at the youth hostel, including meals, were also varied. The great game nights rounded off the camp, of course. Very nice counselors! 🙂

An adventure holiday, learning, friendships—this one week had it all. My daughter felt very comfortable, was well looked after, learned a lot, and wants to go back next year—ideally with all the girls she met this year. That's how it should be! I think it's great that the food was good and the program varied and pressure-free!

My daughter (11 years old) has now attended an English camp with this provider for the second time. The first time was right after switching to high school. She hadn't really had much exposure to it in elementary school, so it was difficult for her to remember the vocabulary and pronounce it correctly. In just one week at camp, she quickly figured out how the pronunciation should actually be and learned a tremendous amount of everyday vocabulary. After the camp, learning the school vocabulary was much easier for her. Regardless, I got back a radiant, totally happy girl after one week. She was in contact with people her age with whom she could start and end the day together. They went hiking, swimming, and playing basketball together. At the fall camp, they even carved out pumpkins, in keeping with the season, just in time for Halloween. For Halloween, there was a party with costumes... and much more that I can't remember right now. And the counselors spoke in English during all of these activities. Of course, in addition to the candy package for the midnight party, there was full board. The rooms were well-maintained. I have to express my sincere gratitude to the organizers and the counselors! My daughter will never forget this time, and it's helped her academically! We will definitely attend another camp with you!

Fantastic experience at the language camp in England! Our son had an unforgettable two-week stay with 'Camps for Friends' at the language camp in England during the 2024 summer holidays – we highly recommend it! The organization was perfect from start to finish. Even before our arrival, we were given detailed information about the program and the required documents. The journey by plane to London Heathrow was uncomplicated, and there our son was met by Günther and his team. The leisure program was very diverse and varied – with many excursions (including to London and Birmingham) and activities on the Wrekin College grounds. In addition to the language progress, we were able to experience England firsthand – from cultural excursions to sporting activities, everything was included. This combination of learning and free time ensured that our language skills improved enormously. We also made new friends with other participants and the English supervisors. The accommodation was also excellent. The Wrekin College boarding house has very good and clean rooms. The daily meals catered to every taste, and we also had the opportunity to sample local dishes. All in all, it was a fantastic experience that we can recommend to anyone who wants to improve their language skills while getting to know a new country and its culture. A special thank you to Günther and Sonia and their team for the wonderful time our son was able to spend in England!
